Friday 14 will be the opening of the Noosa Open Studios 2026 Art Trail and I’m really looking forward to it. If you are looking for something to do in August, I can thoroughly recommend the Noosa Open Studio Art Trail. This exhibition happens every year in the Noosa Region and it is a wonderful opportunity to visit artists in the area and check out their studios.
Noosa Open Studios is putting on a charity art auction to support the McGrath Foundation and the 2026 exhibition. The auction will include a long luncheon at the Ocean View Room at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club along with some distinguished guest speakers.
When I lived in Sydney, I enjoyed a bit of a ritual in the month of June – watching the Vivid Festival from the Quay Restaurant in the Rocks. This year we did it again, but this time, it was a little different.
Travel is a big part of my artistic process. I find different cultures and landscapes to be very inspiring, and I always find it fascinating to watch how my painting develops after spending time away.
The Affordable Art Fair returns to Brisbane on May 7 to 10 at the Exhibition Building in the Brisbane Showgrounds. The Fair is a vibrant expression of contemporary art designed to demystify the art world for both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers.
